My Final Wedding Sample for Wedding Week

 
This wedding invitation was designed by Tami White.  I love the pocket that holds the reply card and directions.  This is a great way to get all the information in but still have your invitation look elegant. I find that the brushed silver and gold paper is perfect when you want an elegant touch.  See how nice the silver cardstock looks with the black cardstock.

Wedding Week Continues - Wedding Ensemble

When you design your wedding you can create your save the date card, invitation, table setting and thank yous match.  Cathie Gaspard designed the above wedding ensemble and I love how it all ties together. I think one of the easiest things you can use to create quick and easy projects for your wedding or event is to use a wheel.  With very little effort you can wheel across everything and be done in no time at all.  There are a lot of wheels in the new Stampin' Up! catalog that will work to create your wedding ensemble.  Look at the wheels on page 219 and you will see there are at least 7 wheels that would work.

Wedding Week continues with another Wedding Invitation

This card was designed by Dania Welch.  I don't always think the pictures can do the cards justice but hopefully you can see the beautiful embossing on the front of the invitation.  This was done using the Perfect Details texture plate with the Big Shot.  Then once the card opens you can see all the wedding details and a little pocket holds the response card.  This is so wonderful in person.

Ink:  Mellow Moss (retired) 

Cardstock:  Whisper White & Mellow Moss

Accessories:  Big Shot, Perfect Details texture plate, White organza ribbon and Scallop Border punch

Wedding Week Continues

I participated in a wedding swap quite some time ago and finally decided this would be the perfect time to share the ideas with you.  During the Summer there always seems to be lots of weddings to attend and weddings being planned.  This is probably one of my favorite cards form the swap.  It was designed by Debbie Moczek and I just fell in love with it.  The black paper used for the tux is now retired but you could use black textured paper or score lines on your cardstock to get a similar look.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Sincere Salutations

Cardstock:  Whisper White and Black

Ink:  Basic Black

Accessories:  Big Shot, Perfect Details Texture Plate, Scallop Oval Punch, Clear Rhinestone brads, black brads and white organza ribbon

Wedding Ideas

Weddings are such a special time and I love helping people design the perfect invitation and matching placemat cards, thank yous etc.  I'm actually putting together a resource book that shares ideas just like this to help customers get a feel for what they can do.  The wheel on the invitation and thank you card are now retired but there are several wheels that would be perfect for wedding cards. Wedding Pop Up Card

 

I had so much fun playing with the pop-up die for the Big Shot.  I decided to use my new stamp set called Wedding Sweet to make this card.  I also matched that up with the beautiful designer series paper called Bella Bleu.

 

For the pop up card I used white cardstock and made it a little bigger then what the directions call for then I used my eyelet border punch on the edges.  I then ran the cardstock through the Big Shot using the new Perfect Details texturz plate.  I love the look that it gives to the cake. Okay, as I always tell my customers you get to learn from my mistakes, so I actually posted this card so I could point out a big boo boo.  Make sure you open your card to figure out where you seam is on your cake before you decorate the front.  I will be adding some flowers and finish decorating my cake to hide the seams but I figured you could all learn from my mistake.  I figure that is my goal as a demonstrator to pass along on those little tidbits that I learn as I create my projects.  Maybe you are all a little smarter then me but I'm sure there is someone else out there that could use this tip.  So figure out where your seam is on your cake and put that to the back of your card when you open it.
