April Free Tutorial

I know we are 8 days into the month of April and I'm just now getting my free tutorial posted.  To be honest with the number of hours I'm currently working as a tax accountant I'm surprised I'm even getting posted this early.

Downline Meeting Highlights

I had an amazling downline meeting yesterday with my group.  It was so fun and I absolutely loved the projects that were demonstrated by my team.  I figured you would love to see some samples too. Below is a project that Lacy Stauffer did that is an absolutely amazling scrap book project using envelopes. Isn't this the cutest thing.  I will be highlighting this project in one of my upcoming twelve weeks of Christmas tutorials.  Tomorrow I will share a few more samples from another demonstation Lacy did. Plus I'll share some great cards from Jenn Hoyum and Erin Glovinsky.  I have the best group and boy did we have a fun time on Saturday.  Hope you enjoy the ideas as much as I did.

October Scrapbooking Club Pages

These are the pages that my scrapbook club made this month.  They are pretty easy pages when you use the Big Shot to make the leaves.  My stamping helper Melody designed these pages and I think they are so adorable.  Hopefully, I won't have to rely on help for much longer because believe it or not that is the part I like.  There is nothing more fun then just sitting down to play to come up with my upcoming project ideas.  Anyways, since I had a few minutes tonight I figured I would do a quick post.  I hope you enjoy this idea.  I know my club members really had fun making the pages.

For All You Do Scrapbooking Page

 

Here are the scrapbooking pages that my scrapbooking clubs made in August.  I always give everyone an idea and then tell them to tweak it so it fits their needs. I would say majority of the time they just copy my idea but there are a few that like to give it there own style. I find it so hard to not use my Big Shot when I'm scrapbooking, there are just so many great dies that I always seem to pull it out for some part of the page.  On this page we used the Big Shot to make the Big Swirl and to add some of the flowers. I do have to say the the Cottage Wall designer paper is really getting used these days.  That was the starting point for my page and then I pulled out some of the colors from the paper. 

Supplies Used:

Cardstock:  Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White & Old Olive

Ink:  Rich Razzleberry (stamp off to get the lighter shade)

Accessories:  Cottage Wall designer paper, Big Shot Swirly die cut, Birds & Blooms Big Shot sizzlits, Eyelet Border Punch

I also wanted to show you how my friend Tracy used the stamp set called Circle Circus to make it a little more flexible for her family of boys.

 

Remember you can always take an idea and use it in a way that will work for you.  I hope I've inspired you to pull out some of your stamps and think about making a scrapbooking page.

Big Shot Butterfly Scrapbook Page

 

This is the scrapbook page my scrapping club made last month.  I thought that the negative image from the Swirly diecut was the perfect addition to the opposite page of the scrapbook.  This is a pretty simple spread but I think it is pretty cute.

Supplies Used:

Ink:  Baja Breeze (stamped on the small butterfly if you can't see it in the picture)

Cardstock:  Baja Breeze, So Saffron, & Chocolate Chip

Stamp Set:  Great Friend

Accessories:  Walk in the Park paper, Swirly die & Beautiful Butterflies die

Retiring Home Decor

I'm really excited because I actually got to make a few cards today just because.  They aren't for a class or anything.  I don't know how long it has been since I've felt up to doing that and actually had the time.  Now I'll have to take pictures because I used the Parisian Breeze paper that is retiring.  Boy, I sure do love this paper.  I wish it was going to stay around but I guess I'll have to fall in love with the new in colors.  I'll post pictures soon.

Fresh Cuts Scrapbook Page

Obviously, I'm bad in business with my internet.  You have no idea how painful that was not to have access to the internet.  I felt so lonely and alienated.  I just knew I was missing out on so much.  I did take a sneak peek at my e-mail at work just to make sure I wasn't missing something huge, but still I only had a minute and it definitely wasn't enough time to get through what I needed.  Anyways, I've got a tutorial that will be posted in the next couple of days so make sure you check back soon.

Above are the scrapbook pages that my scrapbook club made in June.  I have a group that meets that half are into scrapbooking and the other half aren't.  So I usually take one of the cards and show them how you can convert the idea into a scrapbook page.  Some months I don't do this precisely but I try and stick to this when I can.  After making the card that was posted a couple of days ago I figured that the sparkly image made with the heat & stick powder would work great on a scrapbook page, so I simply used the same size piece of cardstock and added it to my scrapbook page.  I haven't put anything in the Hodge Podge piece yet since I haven't actually figured out what pictures I'll be using.  Anyways, I always love being able to show my customers how flexible our stamp sets are.  Whether you are a scrapbooker, a card maker or both, there is something for everyone.

Cardstock:  More Mustard, Basic Black & Whisper White

Ink:  More Mustard

Accessories:  Heat & Stick, Dazzling Diamonds, Hodge Podge

Live Your Dream - Scrapbook Page

Here is the 2 page layout that my scrapbook clubs did this month.  We used the poppin' pastels technique for this page and I really like how it gives the flower such a beautiful soft look.

Supplies Used:

Stamp set:  Live Your Dream (mini catalog)

Ink:  Basic Black

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Basic Black & Blue Bayou

Accessories:  Pastel Chalks, Versamark pad, & spong daubers

Seeing Spots Scrapbook Page

This is the scrapbook page that my scrap clubs made this month.  It uses dry embossing on the Vanilla & Chocolate Chip cardstock, but I just don't think you will be able to see it in the picture.  Each month I make a scrapbook page and then show how to use the same colors and stamp set to make a card.  Yesterday I posted the card.  I think this helps people see that you can use the same stamp set for cards or scrapbooking.  That is what I love about stamping.  You can use it for so many different things.

I'm not sure this is actually the way the pages will be because I just laid a few pictures down so you could get a feel for the look.  I want to make sure I give some thought to how I want to scrapbook our trip to Disney World.  I have tons of pictures and I'm sure I will have to pick through the best pictures.  There is no way I can scrap it all.
