Build a Brad Club Card

P1050248_small

Okay, I'm a little slow in getting all of the club projects posted from last month.  This was a fun card using the build-a-brads.  This is the first time we used the build-a-brads at club and they were a huge hit.  They work perfect with the Circle of Friendship stamp set.

Supplies Used:

Stamp set:  Circle of Friendship, Paisley Background, & Much Appreciated

Ink:  Regal Rose & Apricot Appeal

Cardstock:  Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose & Whisper White

Accessories:  1/2" Circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch, & Build-a-brad

I used a fun way to get a different look with your scallop punch.  You first punch out your punch & did this on white cardstock.  Then attach the punch to typing paper with a little removable adhesive.  You then punch out again lining up the edge of the scallop on the circle part of the previous image and you will get a fun look.  It is kind of hard to explain so if you don't get it let me know and I'll try and take a picture of the way that you punch.  I love this idea because it is like having another punch with out having to make another purchase.

I hope enjoy this card.  Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

P1050252_small P1050253_small

Okay, those of you that were a hostess this past year were able to attend my fun hostess appreciation event.  I know the catalog hasn't ended but I decided to go ahead and do my usually event for the past 12 months.  This is always so much fun.  We play a few games, have great refreshments and of course lots of door prizes.  I always try and have a fun project for everyone to do, but it is usually cards.  This year I came across this great project idea and I knew the Fresh Cuts stamp set would be perfect.  It is a fairly simple project, but I think it is pretty impressive.  Thanks again to all my wonderful hostesses.  I hope you enjoyed your special night.

Ink:  Basic Black & Purely Pomegranate

Fresh Cuts - Sneak Peek Set

P1050247_small

Okay, sorry for the few days off.  This has been a crazy week.  I had a class on Wednesday, a hostess appreciation event on Thursday, a vendor fair on Friday and a meeting today.  I can't wait to share the project that we made at my hostess appreciation event, but I don't want to share that project until I hold the last event on Monday.  But I'm pretty sure everyone that came on Thursday enjoyed the project and had fun at the event.  This is a time that I get to show my hostesses how special they are to me and hopefully they feel how much I care for each and everyone of them.  Anyways, I will share that fun project later in the week.

On to this project.  This is one of the cards that my club members made this month.  This is a fun technique using Heat & Stick powder.  I don't know if it shows up well in the picture, but we covered the image on the whisper white cardstock with Versamark ink.  Then the image was covered with Heat & Stick powder.  The image is then heated using the heating tool.  That makes the image become like an adhesive, so then you can put glitter on top and heat the image again.  It gives the whole piece a nice glimmer.  The fun thing about using the Heat & Stick powder is that you can do this on chipboard and use the cosmo fine glitter.  This is really pretty.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Fresh Cuts

Ink:  More Mustard & Basic Black

Cardstock:  More Mustard, Basic Black & Whisper White

Accessories:  Heat & Stick, Versamark, Hodge Podge Hardware & Tearing Edge

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Post-it Note Matchbook Cover

P1050250_small P1050251_small This is the post-it note matchbook cover that everyone made at club last week.  Michaels had a ton of their dollar stuff on clearance so I really stocked up.  Anyways, when I saw these cute little post-it notes I knew we would be using them soon for a club project.

For the front image we used are markers to color in the flower.  Then we stamped the words and the butterfly.  To finish off the front we used a sponge dauber to add a touch of yellow.  This was a fairly easy project and everyone seemed to like it.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Live Your Dream ( mini catalog only available until June 30th)

Card stock:  Perfect Plum, Pale Plum & Whisper White

Ink:  Perfect Plum & Barely Banana

Accessories:  Perfect Plum, Pale Plum & Mellow Moss Markers, 1/4" White Grosgrain Ribbon, Sponge Dauber & Stapler

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Purse Cardholder - See the cards

P1050245_small

I made some very simple cards to go inside the purse.  I used Almost Amethyst ink so it is very subtle in the picture and I hope you can see it.  Anyways, I think this is such a cute little gift to give someone.  In fact, I will be doing a drawing to give away one to everyone that books a party in July or signs up for the next round of clubs.

Stop by my booth at the Summer Boutique Shopping Event on Friday between 6:00 and 9:00 pm. at the Ramada Inn in South Beloit.  It is on the corner of 251 and Hwy 75 and you can put your name in the drawing.  In addition to the drawing, I'll have a little gift for the first 50 guests.  Plus I'll have a lot of fun projects on display.  If you are in the Roscoe/Rockton area I hope that you will stop by.  I'll also have a fabulous door prize so stop by and say Hi.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Live Your Dreams

Ink:  Almost Amethyst

Cardstock:  Whisper White & Almost Amethyst

Accessories:  Almost Amethyst Designer Paper, Scallop Punch, 1/16" circle punch, & dimensionals

I hope you enjoy this project.  Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Purse Cardholder

P1050244_small

Isn't this purse cardholder cute.  I just love how it looks like a purse and then you can fill it with matching cards.  I actually got to play  with my stamps over the weekend and you won't believe how good it felt.  Seriously, it has been so long with our move and being sick in March and April.  Anyways, that means I have lots of things to share.  Come back tomorrow to see the matching cards to this cute cardholder.

Stamp Set:  One of a Kind - I just stamped the flower for the handle part

Accessories:  Almost Amethyst Designer Paper, Retired ribbon, Boho Punch, Pretties kit

I will definitely have to use this idea for a future class.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Metal Tin w/ Rub-ons

P1040383_smallOkay, I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to post.  I came down with the flu last Friday and believe me I couldn't get off the couch until late Tuesday afternoon and then I still was in slow mode.  Anyways, I think I'm finally getting back up to speed and can get back to my normal life.  All I can say is I hope none of you get it because it is simply miserable.

I picked up a package of these really neat tins in the wedding section at my local craft store.  On the plastic lid I put a white flower rub-on on top.  Then I used the stamp set called Happy Everything to stamp For You using the white craft pad on some Blue Bayou Cardstock.  To finish things up I just attached some of the Blue Bayou Double stitched ribbon around the lid using some sticky strip.  That's it, a really quick and easy project that is perfect to give to anyone.  I've got plans to make quite a few of these for an upcoming event but I don't want to spoil the surprise so I'm not going to say what it is for.  If you live in the area, I recently saw some of these tins clearance at Target in the wedding area.  So check it out if you would like to pick up some of these fun containers.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!

Another Vase

P1040384_small Here is another vase using one of the black rub-ons from the Eastern Elegance package.  It is amazing how different the rub-ons look depending on the color that you select.

I'm just amazed at how easy it is to use the rub-ons.  I will have some samples at my upcoming classes and clubs so that you can check it out.  Unfortunately, I don't think that pictures do the projects justice.  Don't forget you can sign up for my rub-ons class on April 10th at 6:30 pm.  I will cut off registration when I have 10 people signed up, so get registered today.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Vase using the rub-ons

P1040381_small I just love how easy the rub-ons are.  I picked up this vase the other day and in just a short time I had turned it into a beautiful vase.  I used the rub-ons from the Sale-a-bration brochure.  This is the white rub-on so I'm not sure how it will show up in the pictures.

I've decided to offer a rub-on class on Thursday, April 11 at 6:30 pm.  Everyone will make a vase, candle, metal tin and a card using the rub-ons of their choice.  When you register for the class you will be able to select any of the $10.95 rub-ons for the class and what you don't use that night you will get to take home.  The cost of the class is only $25.00, which is a great deal for everything that is included.  Please RSVP with payment by March 31st if you would like to attend.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Rub-On Votive

P1040315_smallI've been dying to try the new rub-ons but I just hadn't gotten around to buying something that I could put them on.  Well, I finally made an effort to pick up a votive, candle and a few other things and I've been having a blast.  They are so easy to use.

I just picked up this votive at the craft store and came home and in minutes I was done.  It was so easy.  I used the rub-ons that you can get free with a $50.00 order until March 17th.  When I opened the package I was amazed to find that you actually get four different sheets.  There are so many things that I've got planned for these in the future.  Anyways, I think we may be doing glass votives at my clubs in March.  I want everyone to see how quick and easy they are.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!
