Stampin' Up! Cruise

On day two we were at sea.  I have to admit that was the only things I didn't like about this cruise.  When you are at sea it isn't like you can go and sit in the sun and read a book.  However, on day two that is our day for the Stampin' Up! general session.  This is our chance to go and see Shelli and the corporate team share fun ideas and information with us.  So you are going to see some sneak peeks in this post.

Of course, Shelli looked great like usual.  She always amazes me.

Some of the board members came out dressed up and made Pam Morgan give them her jewelry.  It was fun for a little laugh.  They were the prize patrol but no prizes for me.

Love this project with lots of new stuff on it.  This box uses the new Big Shot die called Perfect Pennants.  As a demonstrator we are able to pre-order items starting June 1st and of course this is on its way to my home.  The new stamp set is called Delicate Doilies.  As you can tell the two items work perfectly together.

Isn't this box adorable.  Shelli demonstrated this project and I absolutely love the glitter brads for the flower center.  It really makes the project.  We may have to do this one for club.

Now do you know how the meeting was capped off?  We actually got a copy of the new catalog coming out in July.  Can you say WOW!!!!  It is amazing and the best part was my husband was feeling a little seasick and took medicine that knocked him out.  I had several guilt free hours to take in all the stamps, accessories and samples.  

This is a picture from our balcony as we traveled on the boat.  As you can see there are going to be some great pictures of the Alaskian landscape that I will be sharing in the future.

Thank you to all that attended my hostess appreciation event this week.  I love pampering my hostesses and I hope you all enjoyed the day.  I know many of you were doorpirze winners and I sure had fun on the refreshments.  I'll share a few pictures later.

Okay, I know I've been awful about posting to my blog but I decided to take some time off for the Holidays and enjoy time with my family.  It was so nice having my oldest home from college.  Now I've got a ton of projects to share including some great ideas from my gift giving class in December.  I'm going to try and take pictures over the weekend and get some stuff posted.  Then I'll be heading to Stampin' Up! Leadership next week and you know I'll return with lots of great ideas.

Upcoming Stamp-a-Stack

 
I'm having a stamp-a-stack this Thursday at 6:30 pm and Friday at 9:00 am.  I still have a few spots available.  Contact me right away if you would like to attend. I will be prepping tomorrow night so that is the last call. The cost of the class is $20 and you will make 12 cards including envelopes.  Plus, if you place a miniumum $25 order when you attend you will receive a $5 credit from your class fee applied to your total. I have 4 cards designs and you will make 3 cards of each design.  I had lots of fun using quite a few sets from the new Summer mini catalog. Above is a sneak peek of 2 of the 4 cards.  I love the Elements of Style stamps set, in fact we are using it on two of the cards.  Plus the new Sweet Sccops stamp set is so fun.  Let me know if you are available.  I would love to have you attend.

New Holiday Mini Catalog

 I'm so excited for the new Holiday mini catalog.  This one is jam packed with so much fun stuff.  You can join me on September 12th anytime between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for my Holiday Mini Catalog Open House.  There are some fun Build-a-Bear stamps and accessories that kids and adults will love so I'm inviting you to bring your children who are 5 and up to join you.  Everyone can make a free card and check out lots of displays of the new stuff.  Don't miss out on the fun.

Here is a couple of cards that will give you an idea of the fun Build-a-Bear stuff in this catalog.  Aren't those bears adorable.  My assitant Melody helped me with these cards.  Boy, has she been a big help the last couple of weeks. I just don't seem to have enough hours in the day, but hopefully after my big exam in November I will be able to breath again.

Downline Shoebox Swap

 

 

I thought I would share two more downline cards from our last shoebox swap.  The top one was designed by Rachel Marsh and the bottom one by Tracey Crosser.  They both use the new in color called Dusty Durgano.  The top card uses the new hostess level 2 set called Asian Artistry and the bottom card uses the set called Animal Stories.  Aren't these cards cute.

More Downline Swaps

  

 

I wanted to share some more cards from my downline shoebox swap.  The top card was designed by Anita Marsh and the bottom card by Chani McMullin.  Don't you just love the use of the new in-colors.  The top card uses the hostess level 3 stamp set called Kind & Caring Thoughts and the bottom card uses the set called Autumn Days. I love when we do our shoebox swap because you can get samples using set you don't have and plus it is so much fun getting together.

I've found some time to play and I sure love the new stuff that I've ordered.  I can't wait to post a few of my projects.  Some will be made at future clubs and others in classes.  Unfortunately, I wanted to continue playing today but I got pulled away to work on landscaping.  At least we are slowing getting my entrance to my class area completed.  Hopefully, soon the outside will be just where I want it.

New Stuff

 

 

I thought I would share a few cards using new sets from the catalog. The first card was a card from my downline shoebox swap.  Angela Baraks is so talented. She used the new set called Circle Circus.  This is a really fun set and I'm sure I'll be using it for upcoming clubs and classes.  Also, notice the embossed part of the card.  We used the texture plates with the Big Shot and got this great look.

The second card I made using the set called For All you Do and the new Mover's and Shaper's die.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these new dies!!!  They are so quick and easy and the results are incredible.  I also used the new in color cardstock called Melon Mambo.  I think this is one of my favorites but Rich Razzleberry is probably my favorite new in color. To finish off the card I used a little of the Razzleberry Lemonade designer paper and the new 1/2" polka-dot crushed curry ribbon. 

If you are interested in the new 1/2" polka-dot ribbon I'm currently doing a ribbon share.  You get 3 yds of all six colors for only $15.  I'll be ordering all the ribbon at the end of the month and then I cut and get it out once the order arrives.  Please let me know by July 31st if you would like to participate in the ribbon share.  It is a great way to get a variety of the the ribbons and try them out.  All I can say is you know me and ribbon and I'm sure loving these new colors.

Open House Make n Take

This is one of the two make n takes everyone got to make at my new catalog kick off party.  I tried to make the card easy but cute and I think the Big Shot made that possible.  Hopefully, you can see in the picture that I used the Stampin' Up!  Backgrounds 1 texture plates to dry emboss the entire card.  Boy, do I love the texture plates.  Talk about easy and what a great result.

The next thing I did with the Big Shot was use the new Magnetic Movers & Shapers dies.  I used the one that matches up with the Modern Label punch.  It was so easy to run the die through the machine to punch out the hole and then using white card stock I stamped Happy Birthday from the Teeny Tiny stamp set.  Then I punched out the words using the Modern Label punch.

To finish off the card I just stamped the butterfly once & then stamped another three times working my way up the paper.  And of course we used the new Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry  & Melon Mambo in colors.

I think this is a fun and colorful card.  I'm so excited about the new Movers & Shapers dies.  I seem to be using them constantly because they are so easy and give great results.  I'll be sharing another card after my Big Shot class on Tuesday.

New Catalog Open House

Thanks to everyone that stopped by my new catalog open house this past Wednesday.  We had lots of fun and so many of you left with door prizes.

Everyone got the chance to make two cards plus we had a fun scavenger hunt using the new catalog.  The best part was the fact that the cement walkway was done for my entry to my basement.  This was so wonderful and I think everyone really enjoyed being able to come straight into the class area instead of walking through my house.  I know my husband enjoyed it.  He was wonderful and used is Thursday off to put in new lighting and more outlets down there.  As you come for clubs and classes hoping you are going to start noticing all the improvements.

The above card uses the new stamp set called Razzle Dazzle plus my new favorite punch called Modern Label.  I love this because it matches up with the new dies for the Movers & Shapers die.  Trust me you will be seeing this used a lot in the future.  I used the new Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I got to say I love the new in colors.  Finally, I used the new designer paper called Razzleberry Lemonade.  I'm really loving this designer paper and those of you that are invited to my hostess appreciation event this week will be making a special project using this paper.  

Anyways, I'm so excited about the new catalog and can't wait to start sharing some of the fun projects that I've been making.  Things are a little buzy at work which has affected my time to post to my blog but hopefully I can get a few things ready to go soon.
