Quick Update

Okay, sorry I had to drop off the face of the earth but for my own sanity I couldn't keep up my blog during tax season.  Those of you in my clubs know that some how I was still able to keep the classes and clubs up but I just couldn't do the posting.  Well, officially tax season has come to an end for me and I can breath again.  After my club today made me feel guilty that I hadn't let them know I passed my exam I figured I better get that out of the way and let everyone know I'm happy to report my studying paid off and I am officially accredited in business valuations now.  I wasn't trying to keep it a secret but I just didn't think to announce it at my clubs.  So you can all relax and quit worrying.  My group today told me they had all been wondering the last couple of months but were afraid to ask. Anyways, thanks to all of you that put up with my crazy schedule and stress over the past 6 plus months.

Now to get to the fun stamping news.  Stampin' Up! has announced a color renovation with the new catalog coming out July 1st.  I have to leave for an appointment but I will get back this afternoon and post all the fun details.  I'm super excited about the new colors and especially the return of some of my favorite in-colors.  I hope you will all be as excited as I am to know that Baja Breeze will be back.  YEAH!!!

Thanks for all the support during my crazy schedule. But now I can get back to a better routine.  I can't wait to get back down to my stamp area and actually stamp for fun.

Beloit, WI Business Women's Luncheon Article - Stampin' Up!

Well, I just got a call from my husband that someone told him I was featured in the Beloit Daily news today.  I totally forgot that someone from the paper had asked me a few questions at the women's luncheon about my Stampin' Up! business and then took my picture.  So I did a quick search since we don't get the paper and see what I found.

It is a nice little article.  Too bad I need to learn how to smile better for a newspaper article.  I have just a little too much of a smile for the picture.  Oh well, at least you can see some of the fun projects that I had on display at my booth.

Surgery Update

Okay, over all the surgery went well.  I'm hoping to get released today.  There were a few set backs and I just got back from a chest x-ray.  Hopefully, the results will be good and I can finally be released.  I actually have to go home with a tube in my back which I thought we could avoid but no such luck.  They found there were still some stones when they did the CT scan the next day and they are hoping that by flushing out the tube we might be able to avoid an additional surgery.  I'll know more next week, but if I have to do an additional surgery it will at least be out patient.  So that is the quick update.  I'm at least feeling up to posting so that is a good sign.  That will probably be it for a few days and then I can hopefully share some fun projects.  I've got 2 classes all planned and ready to show so stay tuned.  With May being National Scrapbooking month I've got a scrapbooking project and a quanity of cards from one the scrapbooking kits.  I've just got to wait a little bit longer before I firm up the dates.  Stay tuned.

Off for Surgery

Okay, I think most of my regular customers know by now, that I just had to let things slide for awhile.  Unfortunately, with all the medical problems I was having I made the decision to not worry about touching my blog while I was dealing with everything.  I'm heading off to Madison in about a half hour for my surgery.  I'm really ready to get things solved.  This past week has gotten really bad and it makes me that much more excited to get back to normal.  Anyways, I just wanted to post and give you a heads up.  I've tried to take pictures of the club projects we have done and once I've recovered for about a week or two I should hopefully start getting back to posting to my blog.  Thanks for your understanding during this difficult time.  I'm just glad that it is almost over.  I know many of you have asked for an update to my surgery so I will try and post once I feel up to it, to let you know how it went.

Just Buzzin' By

 

Okay, I apologize for the fact that you haven't seem me for awhile.  I'll give you a quick update.  I have some very large kidney stones that are going to have to be removed surgically.  I got a stint put in when I was in the hospital and that has helped so much.  The last couple of days I have really started feeling much better so hopefully I can hang in there until my surgery in April.  I've decided to wait until tax season is over and my doctor has agreed. To be honest, I'm not sure how much I will be able to post over this time period.  I really have to rest and take it easy to get through this, so I may post occasionally but until my surgery and recovery period is over, I'm sure it will not be much. 

I will continue with my clubs and classes that I have scheduled.  I'm just really not putting any additional workshops or classes on my calendar at the moment, so stay tuned for things to pick back up once I'm recovered and back to my normal self.

Today, I'm sharing this great card that was on display at Leadership.  I just love this cute set called Just Buzzin' By.  We made a card using this set at clubs last week and I'll try and post that card sometime in the future when I feel up to it.

Big Shot Class Cancelled Tonight

Okay, I'm just trying to make sure that the word got out that my Big Shot class is cancelled tonight.  I will hold my next class on March 3rd at 6:30 pm.  I just got home from the hospital battling kidney stones.  Unfortunately, I will be heading to Madison for additional treatments, but I'll keep you posted.  Thanks for your understanding, now I'm off to bed.

Where am I? & Open House Success

Okay, first of all I want to thank those of you that stopped by my open house on Thursday and Saturday.  It was great seeing all of you and I now know that you all love the new Stampin' Up! catalog as much as I do.  This catalog is fantastic and it is especially wonderful for all of you Big Shot lovers.  There are so many great accessories now available for your Big Shot.  All I can say is you will want to come to future clubs and classes so you can try them out.

Now, you may be wondering where I have been.  I want to start by sharing the fact that I've made a decision in my career to pursue a new certification in preparing business valuations.  This is very exciting for me but it will also require a bit of a time commitment.  I will start studying for the exam in June or July and actually take the exam in the fall.  After returning home from Leadership on Saturday a few weeks ago I then left Sunday for a seminar on preparing business valuations, I'm even more excited about this opportunity.  Unfortunately, it may mean a little shuffling of things in my life.  So I'm giving you a little heads up that my plan is to take a little time on the weekends to get a few posts ready for the week.  Then I can just post during the week easily.  If I don't find the time on the weekend to get ahead of the game then it will probably end up being a week without a post.  So that is it in a nutshell.  Those of you that have seen me recently know that I'm still going to be running things like normal through June.  At least as normal as it always is during tax season.  Anyways, then I think you may see a little change during the summer as I start the studying process.  It will probably mean a few less classes, but it will be very short lived, as long as I pass the exam the first time.  But that is my goal, I'll put in the time to do it right the first time just like I did the CPA exam.  So I'll be taking a few minutes today to get some posts ready for next week.  I will give you some great information from Leadership and also share some items we will be making at my February stamp camp and my future class in March.  So hang in there with me during this time and I'll try and do my best to keep you informed on all the fun projects and classes that I'm working on.

Happy 4th of July

I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July.  We are going to be shooting off fireworks in a little while over the lake at my brother-in-laws.  It is always quite the show.  Anyways, I finally had access to the internet so I thought I would let you know what has been going on.  On Tuesday, I was working on the internet trying to get somethings ready to post when I lost the connection.  No big deal, I jut figured it would come up a little later.  Well, a few minutes later I went to make a phone call and there was no dial tone.  That's when it hit me that my husband was using a trencher to dig holes for the sprinkler system and he must have cut the phone line.  Well, the phone company was suppose to come out on Wednesday and fix things and then I got a call they had an emergency and it would have to be Thursday.  Well, here we are several days later and still no phone or DSL connection.  I'm thinking I'm looking at Monday for a fix so I'm trying to be patient.  I do have some good stuff to show you including a tutorial.  So as soon as I'm up and running I'll get it posted.  Thanks for visiting and have a great 4th of July.

In the process of moving

Okay, just a quick heads up that we closed on our new house on Monday.  We have been busy painting and getting things ready for today when we actually cleared out 2 storage units.  We still have a ton to move but we are on our way.  Anyways, I've got some great things to share. I recently did a class where everyone used the Rose Cottage scrapping kit to make over 60 note cards.  This was such a fun class and I'll be sharing some of the card this week.  I've already got interest in a repeat of this class from several people that couldn't make the first one.  I'll try and get settled into the new house and pick a date in June to do a repeat.  Watch for more details.

Update

Okay, I'm starting to recover from my broken ribs but I think the pain is going to be around for a long time.  Nothing seems to be going my way these days.  I can't get internet access on my laptop and it has now been several days. I'm using my in-laws computer to write this. Anyways, I just went to Milwaukee yesterday for the Stampin' Up! regional.  So not only do I still have stuff from cruise to share, I now have stuff from regionals and my club projects.  I'll be working on trying to get access to my laptop and if I can't get that to work I'll see if I can load the pictures onto another computer.  Stay tuned because I have some great ideas to share from regionals.  Thanks for your patience.
