For All You Do Stamp Set

Home Decor Shadow Box

 

At convention, someone on stage did a really cool shadow box using the Home Decor on the front of the frame.  My downline Chani actually did one and I think it turned out so well.  Just by filling the inside with lots of fall items it really looks great.  I've got all the supplies to make one but then I thought I needed a bigger shadow box so mine has sat.  I'm sure not of you can relate to having unfinished projects right.  Anyways, I figured I would share Chani's great project with everyone until I can hopefully finish my own.

Chani is very talented and I'm going to share her recent swap card along with a few of my other downline in the next couple of days.  Her card along with Tracey Crosser's swap card inspired me to focus on fun punch ideas at our next group meeting on November 11th.  I've got several people that are going to demonstrate some fun ideas and then we will actually be making a few make 'n takes to go along with the theme.  If you have ever thought about becoming a demonstrator and live in the Roscoe, IL area please join me as my guest.  If you don't live in the area but would like more information on becoming a member of my group please let me know.  I'm always happy to answer any questions that you may have about purchasing the starter kit.  With the holiday season just around the corner it might be nice to make a little extra income while stamping.  That is what I love about being a demostrator; I get to teach people how to do something that I love.

Christmas Organizer/Downline Incentive

Today was my incentive party for my downline that earned it through sales & recruiting for last quarter.  Have I told you lately that I have the best group.  I had 9 people qualify, but for different reasons a few couldn't attend.

To start things off we started with some pampering.  I didn't tell them ahead of time that we would be enjoying a relaxing foot soak.  I started by soaking their feet in a peppermint soak.  Then we used some peppermint foot scrub to get everyone's feet nice and soft.  To finish things off we used some peppermint lotion.  I think it was a nice surprise and they all enjoyed the relaxing time.

After the pampering we moved on to the stamping project.  I wanted to give them something fun for their project.  We had made a really great folder project on the last Stampin' Up! cruise so the idea that was used for the folder was taken to make a Christmas Organizer.  This is a great project to keep everything in the same spot so you are organized for Christmas.

Here's the Christmas Organizer.  You simply start with a white 2 pocket folder. Then you fold in the sides to make four equal pockets.  Included in the pockets are a gift guide(this came from Jan Tink's blog), Holiday checklist, My list - notepad, and an envelope for receipts.  I used the Winter Bright scrapbooking kit to make this folder.  It was very easy because the diecut stickers are easy to decorate the top and the pockets.

Convention Highlights

Okay, I'm proud to say that my downline, Wende got 12th Rising Star for the year.  That means that out of all the new demonstrators this year she was 12th in the nation.  I'm so proud of her.  She really worked hard and deserves it.

This is a picture from the awards night.  Starting on the left is Michelle Miller, Me, Wende Leverton, Tracey Crosser & Chani McMullin.  It was so fun having 4 members of my group join me this year.  They had a blast spending time together and getting to know more about each other.  I've got a group meeting scheduled on August 14th so we can share all the highlights with the rest of my group.  I'm sure it will be an exciting meeting.

These are my wonderful roommates.  Starting on the left is Carrie Balian, Me, Sally Lourwood & Melissa Krenkel-Sullivan.  We had a great time together.  I don't think there were any nights we went to bed before midnight.  I tried a couple of times, but it never seemed to work out.  We had so much fun spending time together and on the last night we stayed up until 2:00 a.m. looking at swaps, laughing and eating.  This is one of the highlights of my year.  The Stamin' Up! convention is such an incredible experience.  I hope that more of my group will join me next year because it definitely gets you motivated.

Convention Check In

Okay, we did the check in today for the Stampin' Up! convention.  I earned several awards for sales & recruiting, but the most exciting thing was to be there with my downline, Wende Leverton when we found out that she is in the top 15 Rising Stars.  That means that out of all the new demonstrators with one full year she is in the top 15 in the nation.  This is incredible.  We won't find out what number she is for sure until Thursday, but I'm so proud of her.  This is such a great accomplishment.

Today is one of those easy going days.  I went and spent a ton of money at the Momento Mall getting all kinds of great Stampin' Up! shirts & other fun stuff.  Tonight we will have a Pajama-arama.  This will be our opportunity to make 7 make 'n take projects and just have lots of fun with our fellow stampers.  I will take some pictures and share them soon.  Stay tuned for more convention news.
