One of a Kind Goodie Bag

P1050222_small

Okay, I never got around to posting this and it has been several months.  I actually made this as a little door prize at my 5 year anniversary party.  But then I liked it so much that we made it for club a little later.  This is such an easy idea.  You simply seal one of the Medium Size envelopes from Stampin' Up! and then cut off the end.  Then you have a great pouch to put whatever you want inside.  Isn't that a great idea.

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  One of a Kind

Ink:  Rose Red & Chocolate Chip

Cardstock:  Whisper White & Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Boho Blossoms Punch, Rose Red Designer Paper, & Dimensionals

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Build a Brad Club Card

P1050248_small

Okay, I'm a little slow in getting all of the club projects posted from last month.  This was a fun card using the build-a-brads.  This is the first time we used the build-a-brads at club and they were a huge hit.  They work perfect with the Circle of Friendship stamp set.

Supplies Used:

Stamp set:  Circle of Friendship, Paisley Background, & Much Appreciated

Ink:  Regal Rose & Apricot Appeal

Cardstock:  Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose & Whisper White

Accessories:  1/2" Circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch, & Build-a-brad

I used a fun way to get a different look with your scallop punch.  You first punch out your punch & did this on white cardstock.  Then attach the punch to typing paper with a little removable adhesive.  You then punch out again lining up the edge of the scallop on the circle part of the previous image and you will get a fun look.  It is kind of hard to explain so if you don't get it let me know and I'll try and take a picture of the way that you punch.  I love this idea because it is like having another punch with out having to make another purchase.

I hope enjoy this card.  Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Fresh Cuts - Sneak Peek Set

P1050247_small

Okay, sorry for the few days off.  This has been a crazy week.  I had a class on Wednesday, a hostess appreciation event on Thursday, a vendor fair on Friday and a meeting today.  I can't wait to share the project that we made at my hostess appreciation event, but I don't want to share that project until I hold the last event on Monday.  But I'm pretty sure everyone that came on Thursday enjoyed the project and had fun at the event.  This is a time that I get to show my hostesses how special they are to me and hopefully they feel how much I care for each and everyone of them.  Anyways, I will share that fun project later in the week.

On to this project.  This is one of the cards that my club members made this month.  This is a fun technique using Heat & Stick powder.  I don't know if it shows up well in the picture, but we covered the image on the whisper white cardstock with Versamark ink.  Then the image was covered with Heat & Stick powder.  The image is then heated using the heating tool.  That makes the image become like an adhesive, so then you can put glitter on top and heat the image again.  It gives the whole piece a nice glimmer.  The fun thing about using the Heat & Stick powder is that you can do this on chipboard and use the cosmo fine glitter.  This is really pretty.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Fresh Cuts

Ink:  More Mustard & Basic Black

Cardstock:  More Mustard, Basic Black & Whisper White

Accessories:  Heat & Stick, Versamark, Hodge Podge Hardware & Tearing Edge

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Post-it Note Matchbook Cover

P1050250_small P1050251_small This is the post-it note matchbook cover that everyone made at club last week.  Michaels had a ton of their dollar stuff on clearance so I really stocked up.  Anyways, when I saw these cute little post-it notes I knew we would be using them soon for a club project.

For the front image we used are markers to color in the flower.  Then we stamped the words and the butterfly.  To finish off the front we used a sponge dauber to add a touch of yellow.  This was a fairly easy project and everyone seemed to like it.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Live Your Dream ( mini catalog only available until June 30th)

Card stock:  Perfect Plum, Pale Plum & Whisper White

Ink:  Perfect Plum & Barely Banana

Accessories:  Perfect Plum, Pale Plum & Mellow Moss Markers, 1/4" White Grosgrain Ribbon, Sponge Dauber & Stapler

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Do you want to learn how to make a scratch 'n sniff card?

P1040963_smallThis is a really fun idea that I love to use with just the right set.  There is a new set in the current mini catalog called Tart 'n Tangy and it is perfect for this technique.  I find that using a stamp that is a little more solid works the best so that you have an area to scratch and you also want the image to be something that would smell.  Preferably something that would smell good (hee hee).

To make the card smell you mix equal parts clear embossing powder and sugar free jello.  You can also use sugar free kool-aid, crystal light etc.  You just need to make sure there is no sugar in the product that you are using because the sugar will burn when you heat it.  You then stamp your image using craft ink and then pour the embossing mixture over top and heat. It is very easy and makes an extra special card.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Tart 'n Tangy and Short & Sweet

Cardstock:  Bashful Blue, Whisper White & Pumpkin Pie

Ink:  Pumpkin Pie Craft Ink

Accessories:  Pumpkin Striped Ribbon, Scallop Circle Punch & Summer Picnic Designer Paper

Okay, now pull out your stamps and see what you can add a smell to.  One of my favorite cards in the past was an ice cream cone with the scoops on the ice cream being scratch 'n sniff.  It always got a wow when someone got it for their birthday.  I hope you enjoy this idea.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Do you want a cute gift giving idea?

Okay, before I share my cute project from last months club I have to apologize.  I finally just decided I couldn't continue trying to push myself to do everything and had to let things go.  So unfortunately, I had to take a little break from my blog.  I've never had to do this before, but after 2 months of all my medical problems I just couldn't continue.  I am starting to feel much better, but I think the ribs take awhile to heal and I'll still be feeling it for a few more weeks.  I did find out after doing a bone density scan that my bones are very weak so hopefully I'll take this as an opportunity to improve things now to avoid this in the future.  Anyways, I still don't have internet access on my laptop but we will be closing on our house next week so hopefully it will all get fixed when we move.  For the time being I'll have to use my in-laws computer.  So thanks for your patience and you will be seeing some blog candy and a tuturial very soon to thank you all for hanging in there with me.  You just have to check back so you don't miss out.

P1040965_small This was one of the cute projects that my club members made last month.  I simply cut down a white lunch bag to 5 3/4" and then attached the 6" square of certainly celery cardstock on both sides of the bag.  We then used the pick a petal template to trace the scallop circle on the Apricot Appeal cardstock and cut it out using the paper snips.  Simply fold the circle in half and attach the back half to the certainly celery cardstock.  Then on the front flap I just used a little velcro to attach the front of the flap.  I added a little ribbon and tah dah a cute little purse that you can use to put that cute little gift for your special friend.

Supplies Used:

Stamps:  Enjoy Every Moment & Canvas

Cardstock:  Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal & Whisper White

Accessories: Celery Ribbon, Dimensional, Gold Brad, Celery Jumbo Cartridge, & Daisy Dash Jumbo Wheel

I still have tons of stuff to share so I will do my best to pace myself and show a little bit at a time.  Stay tuned for lots of great things in the future.

Cute Bag

P1040274_small_2 Here is the cute bag that I designed for my January clubs.  I took a bag measuring 3 1/2" X 2" X 6 3/4" and cut 1" off the top.  Then to cover the front and back of the bag I took a 8 1/2" X 4" piece of Apricot Appeal cardstock.  By rounding the top corners of the cardstock it really helps give it more of a bag look.

I used the cute Dilly Dally stamp set and matched that up with the Dilly Dally Friends wheel.  You know I'm a sucker for matching accessories.  Anyways, I thought it turned out pretty cute.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Dilly Dally & Short & Sweet

Ink:  Basic Gray

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Apricot Appeal & Certainly Celery

Accessories:  More Mustard ink cartridge, More Mustard, Certainly Celery & Apricot Appeal markers, Celery ribbon, corner rounder & Key Tag Punch

I hope you will try making one of these cute bags.  Thanks for visiting.

Gift Card holder

During December we made some fun gift card holders.  Unfortunately, at the time I couldn't post pictures so I thought it would be okay to post them now.  Hopefully, you guys don't mind that it is Christmas themed.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Year After Year & Many Merry Messages

Ink Pad:  Glorious Green

Accessories:  Real Red Marker, Dimensional, Red Gingham ribbon, Spotted Jumbo Wheel (Retired) & Zig Painty Pen

P1040236_small P1040237_small The inside of the gift card holder lets you see that it is simply an envelope.  You just fold the envelope in half and snip the inside middle of the envelope slightly.  Then you lick the left side and leave the right side open for your gift card.  Isn't that so cool.  It is definately a quick and easy project.  You can simply change your design for any occasion, not just for Christmas.  I hope you will give this a try in the future.

Datebook - Club Project

P1040248_small

In December we altered some date books.  This was so easy to do.  We just matched up the size of the datebook and made a new cover for the calendar.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Headline Alphabet & Priceless

Ink Pads:  River Rock & Chocolate Chip

Cardstock:  River Rock, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla

Remember that you can alter almost anything.  Sometimes I go into a store just looking for inexpensive items that I can take home and change.  One of the stores that I like to check out often is the DollarTree.  I find a lot of good things there.  I recently made a trip there and unfortunately I didn't find anything new.  Share some of your favorite things to alter.  Maybe you guys can give me some more ideas of things that I can try to change.
