Glitter Ornament & More

This week I showed everyone at club how to make these glitter ornaments.  They are so easy to make but yet so beautiful.  You place about 30 drops of your classic re-inker into the bulb.  Swirl the ink around make sure you coat the entire inside of the bulb.  I then turn the bulb over for a few minutes and let the excess ink drain into something.  After that you just add quite a bit of glitter, don't worry about adding too much.  You can shake the excess glitter back into your container.  I like the results when I use the fine cosmo glitter.  If you use dazzling diamonds glitter then don't put the glitter back into your container.  Your glitter will come out colored and you don't want to mess up your container of dazzling diamonds glitter.  To finish things off I put one of the Icicle rub-ons on the front of the ornament.  What do you think?
 

   
After having so much fun making the above ornament I decided to take a package of ornaments that I had purchased and I just added some of the icicle rub-ons to each ornaments.  This was so easy and I just love the extra touch that it gives each ornament.

Christmas Ornament

This is a fun ornament using the Scallop Circle punch.  You just punch out 6 scallop circles using designer paper.  Then you fold each circle in half.  You then attach the outside of the half circle to one another.  This is so easy to make.  Then using the Pretties kit and some gold elastic cording you put it all together to make a cute little Christmas ornament.  After I put the ornament together I added a little glitter using the 2 way glue pen.  This was another fun project that we made at the group meeting.

Supplies Used:

Paper:  Almost Amethyst Designer Paper

Accessories:  Scallop Circle Punch, Pretties Kit, Gold Elastic Cording, 2 way glue pen & Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Another Chipboard Ornament

Here is another cute chipboard ornament.  These are so easy to make.  On this one I used the Dashing Designer paper and attached that to the square piece of chipboard.  Then I used the Merry & Bright stamp set to stamp the cute snowman onto some whisper white cardstock.  I put that under the square scallop chipboard piece.

On the square scallop piece I used Real Red craft ink to cover the chipboard piece.  I don't know why it photographed dark in some spots but it doesn't look like that in person.  I used a little Always Artichoke ribbon and tied a knot around the square scallop.  Then I used sticky strip to attach the chipboard pieces together. 

To finish off the ornament I used the small hole punch on the crop-a-dile to make the holes for the cording.  I then used the gold elastic cording to make the hanging piece.  I do have to say I'm liking the Trimmings Chipboard.

Chipboard Ornament

I was focusing on chipboard this month with my clubs and I didn't quite get a chance to get more samples together like I wanted to.  But I got a chance to play this morning and I have to say I absolutely love the chipboard in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It is called Trimmings and it makes the cutest Ornaments.

On this ornament I used the Dashing Designer series paper to cover the square chipboard piece.  Then I inked up the scallop piece with Always Artichoke craft ink and sprinkled some Iridescent Ice embossing powder on top.  I used the heat gun to melt the powder.  Then I attached a bow to the top with a mini glue dot.  To finish things off I used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the top and tied some ribbon through to make the hanger.

We will be making some ornaments using the chipboard at my Mom & Me class on November 3rd or 5th.  I still have a few spots available so contact me right away if you are interested.
