Sweet Centers Card

Isn't this card cute.  I found this card many months ago when I was blog hopping and I can't remember who created the original card.  I just love the colors and how it ties in with the M & Ms.  I know some of you have been wondering about the cups and I can tell you that the cups will be available in the next mini catalog along with some new ideas that I think you will like.

I just wanted to thank all of you that sent cards and e-mails giving me support for my exam.  The big exam was Saturday and I can honestly say I think the results can go either way.  I had a few issues because of the test being computerized but I'm hoping that some how I pulled it off.  Unfortunately, I won't get the results until the end of February. 

I will be taking lots of pictures of projects today and hope to really share some great projects over the next couple of days to thank you for your patience while I took a little time off from my blog to study.  I've got a gift giving class coming up on December 5th or December 15th and I'll be sharing the individual projects that you can choose from along with the cost to make each project.  If you live in the Rockford, IL area please let me know if you are interested. Another Ornament Card

I did this card just after getting the ornament punch and the matching stamp set.  I just haven't had a chance to share it. I did put a touch of glitter on the ornament but I don't think it really shows up on the pictures.

I'm really loving the new soft suede cardstock and find that it goes with so many of the Stampin' Up! colors.  I also used one of my new favorite embossing folders called petals-a-plenty from the Stampin' Up! Holiday mini catalog.  I think this is the best mini catalog that Stampin' Up! has ever come up with.  It is jam packed with new stamps and accessories.  There are still a couple of items that I keep telling myself that I don't need.  Let's see if I can hold out and not get them.

Ornament Rub-on Card

I did a quick card using the rub-ons and then punching out the image with the ornament punch.  Then I went to my good old stand by, using the embossing folder for my background.  I used the new Stampin' Up! petals-a-plenty embossing folder, which is gorgeous.  I also used the silver cardstock to match up to the silver rub-on.  This is a quick and easy card and a fun way to use your rub-ons.

Ornament Stamp-a-Stack Card

Here is another Stamp-a-stack card that we did last week.  I really like the simplicity of this card.  We used the ornament punch from the Stampin' Up! Holiday mini catalog along with the gorgeous specialty paper.  The stamp set is also in the Holiday mini catalog.  I think this is probably one of the cards with the least amount of stamping.  If I remember right I saw this idea done by someone but I don't remember who.  Anyways, I think it is a great use of the ornament punch and love the simple look.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Card

This is one of the Christmas Stamp-a-Stack cards that everyone made.  I love the simplicity of the card but yet it is very elegant.  I embossed the dove in gold & then used the Soft Suede cardstock.  I'm amazed at how well the soft suede cardstock goes with gold.  Then For the vanilla background I used the Finial Press embossing folder with the Big shot.  This would definitely be a card that could be done in quantity.  That is always key when picking out your Christmas card. Sorry I didn't post for a bit.  We went to my nephew's wedding in Michigan over the weekend and it was lovely.  It did mean a 5 hour drive on Friday and then back home on Sunday.  That is when you wonder what happened to your weekend.  It was very nice to see family and the wedding was very nice.

Dasher Stamp-a-Stack Card

Don't you just love the new petals a plenty embossing folder on this card. This is one of the cards that everyone will be making at my Christmas stamp-a-stack this Thursday and Friday morning.  Both classes are full, but you can still get the directions including measurements when you place a $40 Stampin' Up! order online during the month of October.  Plus if you are in the Roscoe, Il area I'm going to offer one more opportunity for this class.  The response was incredible so I want to offer a time for those of you that are just too busy during the week. Check your calendar and RSVP for Saturday, October 24th at 9:30 am. Club Card - Wedding Paper Resist

This is one of the projects we made a club this month.  I didn't realize that it wasn't a good idea to put the card on the easel when taking the picture.  You can't see the three brads that I put in the bottom corner.  Oh well, I guess I'll have to watch that for future pictures.  This month we used the wedding paper resist technique that Gretchen Barron shared on her blog.  You simply use a sponge or brayer to ink over the wedding specialty paper found on page 158 of the Stampin' Up! catalog.  It is that simple.  The fun design in the paper resists the ink and you are left with a beautiful background.  Isn't that cool!!!!  My clubs really enjoyed this idea because when you can do something that is a wow without a lot of time you know it is a hit.

Build-a-Bear Club Card

This is one of the stamp club cards that we made this month.  I absolutely love the idea of letting the kids or even adults color in their own card. I figured this was the perfect time to share this idea since now is a great time to get a deal on the clearanced school supplies.

Movers & Shapers Club Card

 

Okay, sorry I haven't posted for a little while.  It seems that when I have a busy schedule with my business I just can't seem to keep up with everything.  I guess that is the down side of actually working more at my day job.  Once I take my exam in November hopefully life will improve. In the meantime my goal is to post at least 3 times a week.  Now that Typepad allows me to schedule my posts I might actually be able to accomplish this goal.  Anyways, I have a ton of Holiday mini-catalog items to show.  I had an open house last Saturday and I got busy with samples and had my assistant Melody help me as well.  I decided today I would share a past club card that didn't get posted yet and try and get pictures of all my projects uploaded in the next couple of days.  We made this card at club back in April or May.  I know I've been awful about showing you all my projects on my blog.  Anyways, this card uses the fabulous movers & shapers die for the Big Shot.  I love that we now have additional movers & shapers dies that you can expand your cutting opportunities.

I just got back from the Business Women's luncheon with the Roscoe Chamber of Commerce and it was so nice. I had a nice table set with samples and got to meet a lot of wonderful ladies.  I gave away a $25 gift certificate and I think the winner, Barb, was really excited.  I know I would be so happy to get a little shopping spree. Wedding Pop Up Card

 

I had so much fun playing with the pop-up die for the Big Shot.  I decided to use my new stamp set called Wedding Sweet to make this card.  I also matched that up with the beautiful designer series paper called Bella Bleu.

 

For the pop up card I used white cardstock and made it a little bigger then what the directions call for then I used my eyelet border punch on the edges.  I then ran the cardstock through the Big Shot using the new Perfect Details texturz plate.  I love the look that it gives to the cake. Okay, as I always tell my customers you get to learn from my mistakes, so I actually posted this card so I could point out a big boo boo.  Make sure you open your card to figure out where you seam is on your cake before you decorate the front.  I will be adding some flowers and finish decorating my cake to hide the seams but I figured you could all learn from my mistake.  I figure that is my goal as a demonstrator to pass along on those little tidbits that I learn as I create my projects.  Maybe you are all a little smarter then me but I'm sure there is someone else out there that could use this tip.  So figure out where your seam is on your cake and put that to the back of your card when you open it.
