One of a Kind Goodie Bag

P1050222_small

Okay, I never got around to posting this and it has been several months.  I actually made this as a little door prize at my 5 year anniversary party.  But then I liked it so much that we made it for club a little later.  This is such an easy idea.  You simply seal one of the Medium Size envelopes from Stampin' Up! and then cut off the end.  Then you have a great pouch to put whatever you want inside.  Isn't that a great idea.

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  One of a Kind

Ink:  Rose Red & Chocolate Chip

Cardstock:  Whisper White & Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Boho Blossoms Punch, Rose Red Designer Paper, & Dimensionals

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

New Decor Elements

P1050359

I know you can't believe you are getting two posts today, but I just had to share this fun project and the last one was simply to let you know about my e-mail sign up box.  Anyways, I have to say I absolutely love the new Decor Elements.  This was so incredibly easy and I can't wait to try out more things.  I have quite a few little things that I'm going to apply the vinyl images to.  I did mess up slightly because I didn't realize it sticks immediately.  It started to grab and there was nothing I could do.  Anyways, it is just a small crease, but now I can give advice to all my customers when they do their own.

I'm doing a home Decor Element open house on July, 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at my house.  Come and check it all out and make a free card in the process.  If you live in the Rockford, IL area (I'm actually in Roscoe, IL) I would love to have you join me.  Please e-mail or call me for more details.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Get all the latest updates

Okay, I don't know why this has taken me so long to figure out, but I finally sat down and decided I needed to get a box set up so you can get on my mailing list.  So if you look to the left of the blog you will see my wonderful sign up box.  I send a monthly newsletter and a mid-month follow-up to everyone on this list.  I have great ideas exclusive to my subscribers including specials and projects.  So if you aren't currently on my newsletter please use the box to the right and you will be added to receive the next release.  Don't worry if you decide it is not for you there is a wonderful box at the bottom of the e-mail for you to opt out at any time.

I'm so proud of myself.  If you can't tell I don't know too much about blogging.  I can do the basics but other then that I just haven't had the time to figure it all out.  Oh well, maybe someday life will slow down but I doubt it.  In the mean time, sign up for my e-mail list. You will be glad you did.

Enjoy Life - Favorite Swap Card

P1050221_small

This was one of my favorite swap cards from the Milwaukee Regionals back in April.  I realized that I didn't share any swaps with you guys because that was back when I was having all my medical issues.  Anyways, I just love this card and think the colors are great.  Unfortunately, I can't give proper create to the person that created the card because they didn't include their information on the back.  So if you know who designed it please let me know.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Enjoy Life

Ink Pad:  Soft Sky, Blue Bayou & I think Ruby Red

Cardstock:  Blue Bayou, Basic Black & Confetti White

Accessories:  Western Sky Designer Paper, Jumbo eyelet, linen thread & tool kit

I hope you enjoy this card idea as much as I did.  I'm getting ready for convention and will hopefully have all kinds of swaps ready so I can come back and share some fun ideas.  I'm participating in a 3D Wow swap this year and I'm sure I'll have lots of fun ideas for future classes.  Over the weekend I started working on a really cool stationery box and I'll be offering this class in August so stay tuned for all the details, if you are in the Roscoe/Rockford, IL area.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Build a Brad Club Card

P1050248_small

Okay, I'm a little slow in getting all of the club projects posted from last month.  This was a fun card using the build-a-brads.  This is the first time we used the build-a-brads at club and they were a huge hit.  They work perfect with the Circle of Friendship stamp set.

Supplies Used:

Stamp set:  Circle of Friendship, Paisley Background, & Much Appreciated

Ink:  Regal Rose & Apricot Appeal

Cardstock:  Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose & Whisper White

Accessories:  1/2" Circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Scallop circle punch, & Build-a-brad

I used a fun way to get a different look with your scallop punch.  You first punch out your punch & did this on white cardstock.  Then attach the punch to typing paper with a little removable adhesive.  You then punch out again lining up the edge of the scallop on the circle part of the previous image and you will get a fun look.  It is kind of hard to explain so if you don't get it let me know and I'll try and take a picture of the way that you punch.  I love this idea because it is like having another punch with out having to make another purchase.

I hope enjoy this card.  Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Pizza Box Tutorial

P1050348 This is the fun project that everyone got to make at my hostess appreciation event.  Those that came on Thursday made the Purely Pomegranate one that I posted the other day and those that came on Monday got to make this Soft Sky one.  These are really fun to make and I have been making them like crazy so I'm going to help all of you make your own.

Start with a piece of card stock measuring 6" X 11".  Next you will score on the long side at 1", 5", 6" & 10".  Then rotate the card stock to the short side and score at 1" & 5".  After you have scored everything then you will take your scissors and cut at the 1", 5" 6" & 10" score lines until you reach the 1" score mark on both sides.  The picture shows the image to this point.

P1050349 Next turn over your cardstock and put some sticky strip along the six small squares that are created after you make your cuts to the 1" score mark.  You will definately want to use sticky strip to make sure that your box stays together.

P1050350 Before you remove the sticky strip to assemble the box make sure you put your stamped image on the front first.  It is much easier to attach your image when the box in not into place.  This will allow you to press the adhesive firmly to the cover.  I use regular adhesive for attaching the image.

P1050351 Now you will remove the red cover to the sticky strip and start to assemble your box.  I like to do the two outside edges first and leave the middle section until the end.  Once you remove the sticky strip then fold the small square piece to the inside of the box and attach.

P1050353 Once you have attached all the end pieces then you will move to the final two pieces in the middle.  Now make sure you know where the top of your box is.  You want to make sure that you attach the right piece to make it form a pizza box.  You might say I'm speaking from experience.  It is very easy to attach to the wrong section.  Anyways, once you know where the top of your box is then remove the cover to your sticky strip and attach the small square to the inside of the bottom portion of your box.

P1050355 Now fill your box with some matching notecards.  I really love using the Fresh Cuts set for this box and the matching cards.  It seems to be the perfect size stamps for the cover and the cards.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Fresh Cuts

Cardstock:  Soft Sky, Whisper White, & Blue Bayou

Ink:  Basic Black & Blue Bayou

Accessories:  Black Gingham Ribbon, 3 for You Punch Box & White Gel Pen

P1050356_small

To finish off the box I like to tie ribbon around and tie in a knot.  I find that if you don't do this part then the box is too loose.  Isn't this a fun project.  I'm working on doing a local fair next weekend and I've starting making some of these to sell.  I think they make a nice little gift.

So have fun making this box and share your finish projects with me.  I always like to see what everyone else comes up with.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Fresh Cuts Scrapbook Page

P1050254_small Page 2 of Layout

Obviously, I'm bad in business with my internet.  You have no idea how painful that was not to have access to the internet.  I felt so lonely and alienated.  I just knew I was missing out on so much.  I did take a sneak peek at my e-mail at work just to make sure I wasn't missing something huge, but still I only had a minute and it definitely wasn't enough time to get through what I needed.  Anyways, I've got a tutorial that will be posted in the next couple of days so make sure you check back soon.

Above are the scrapbook pages that my scrapbook club made in June.  I have a group that meets that half are into scrapbooking and the other half aren't.  So I usually take one of the cards and show them how you can convert the idea into a scrapbook page.  Some months I don't do this precisely but I try and stick to this when I can.  After making the card that was posted a couple of days ago I figured that the sparkly image made with the heat & stick powder would work great on a scrapbook page, so I simply used the same size piece of cardstock and added it to my scrapbook page.  I haven't put anything in the Hodge Podge piece yet since I haven't actually figured out what pictures I'll be using.  Anyways, I always love being able to show my customers how flexible our stamp sets are.  Whether you are a scrapbooker, a card maker or both, there is something for everyone.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set:  Fresh Cuts - available in the next Stampin' Up! catalog

Cardstock:  More Mustard, Basic Black & Whisper White

Ink:  More Mustard

Accessories:  Heat & Stick, Dazzling Diamonds, Hodge Podge

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Happy 4th of July

I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July.  We are going to be shooting off fireworks in a little while over the lake at my brother-in-laws.  It is always quite the show.  Anyways, I finally had access to the internet so I thought I would let you know what has been going on.  On Tuesday, I was working on the internet trying to get somethings ready to post when I lost the connection.  No big deal, I jut figured it would come up a little later.  Well, a few minutes later I went to make a phone call and there was no dial tone.  That's when it hit me that my husband was using a trencher to dig holes for the sprinkler system and he must have cut the phone line.  Well, the phone company was suppose to come out on Wednesday and fix things and then I got a call they had an emergency and it would have to be Thursday.  Well, here we are several days later and still no phone or DSL connection.  I'm thinking I'm looking at Monday for a fix so I'm trying to be patient.  I do have some good stuff to show you including a tutorial.  So as soon as I'm up and running I'll get it posted.  Thanks for visiting and have a great 4th of July.
