Open House Make n Take

July 09 Blog Pictures 009_small This is one of the two make n takes everyone got to make at my new catalog kick off party.  I tried to make the card easy but cute and I think the Big Shot made that possible.  Hopefully, you can see in the picture that I used the Stampin' Up!  Backgrounds 1 texture plates to dry emboss the entire card.  Boy, do I love the texture plates.  Talk about easy and what a great result.

The next thing I did with the Big Shot was use the new Magnetic Movers & Shapers dies.  I used the one that matches up with the Modern Label punch.  It was so easy to run the die through the machine to punch out the hole and then using white card stock I stamped Happy Birthday from the Teeny Tiny stamp set.  Then I punched out the words using the Modern Label punch.

To finish off the card I just stamped the butterfly once & then stamped another three times working my way up the paper.  And of course we used the new Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry  & Melon Mambo in colors.

I think this is a fun and colorful card.  I'm so excited about the new Movers & Shapers dies.  I seem to be using them constantly because they are so easy and give great results.  I'll be sharing another card after my Big Shot class on Tuesday.

Later today Stampin' Up! will be announcing this weeks weekly special.  I'll post once I get all the details.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

New Catalog Open House

July 09 Blog Pictures 007 Thanks to everyone that stopped by my new catalog open house this past Wednesday.  We had lots of fun and so many of you left with door prizes.

Everyone got the chance to make two cards plus we had a fun scavenger hunt using the new catalog.  The best part was the fact that the cement walkway was done for my entry to my basement.  This was so wonderful and I think everyone really enjoyed being able to come straight into the class area instead of walking through my house.  I know my husband enjoyed it.  He was wonderful and used is Thursday off to put in new lighting and more outlets down there.  As you come for clubs and classes hoping you are going to start noticing all the improvements.

The above card uses the new stamp set called Razzle Dazzle plus my new favorite punch called Modern Label.  I love this because it matches up with the new dies for the Movers & Shapers die.  Trust me you will be seeing this used a lot in the future.  I used the new Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I got to say I love the new in colors.  Finally, I used the new designer paper called Razzleberry Lemonade.  I'm really loving this designer paper and those of you that are invited to my hostess appreciation event this week will be making a special project using this paper.

Anyways, I'm so excited about the new catalog and can't wait to start sharing some of the fun projects that I've been making.  Things are a little buzy at work which has affected my time to post to my blog but hopefully I can get a few things ready to go soon.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Beautiful Butterfly Card

Blog Samples 014_small

This card was shared at my last downline meeting by Chani McMullin (this is a correction, I had given credit to the wrong person previously).  It is so cute.  I love the Oval All stamp set and what a great combination with the Beautiful Butterfly die.  I haven't gotten a chance to take pictures of my stamp camp projects.  At the end of last week we got our cement walk way put in so I will now be able to have all my customers go through my entry to my business. YEAH!!!  But of course that meant that I wanted to move everything to that corner of the basement.  Needless to say a few minutes of adjusting the basement turned into quite the project.  I definitely got a great start and now I'm even more excited for my stamp studio to get done some day.  Oh well, it will work until that day comes. But that is my excuse for no pictures yet.  Hopefully, I'll get them soon and you will just have to enjoy projects using retiring stuff that is no longer available.

Thanks, to everyone that stopped by at the used stamp sale.  It was quite the crowd when the door opened.  Things went well and I'm sure may of you are happy with your new stuff.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Adorable Friends 24-7 Card

Blog Samples 007_small

Isn't this card great.  Chani McMullin shared this wonderful card at our last downline meeting. I'm really loving the Friends 24-7 stamp set and unfortunately I've also fallen in love with the Parisian Breeze Specialty paper which is retiring.  The designer paper is so cute.  I'll be using it at my stamp camp at the end of the month.  I figured we would have to use it one last time before it is gone.  Well, I hope you enjoy this card.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Decorated Candle

Blog Samples 001_small

This was a club project several months ago but I never got a chance to post because of my medical problems.  This was super easy but a great way to change a simple glass candle.  We made a wrap around strip using the Raspberry Tart designer paper.  Boy, I'm sure going to miss that paper.  Then we added the flower using the Big Shot embosslit called Cherry Blossom.  Adding a rhinestone brad in the center adds a nice touch.  The leaves were cut out using the Birds & Blossoms sizzlits.  I love altering things that you can pick up pretty inexpensively but by making a few addition you can really change the look.  I hope you enjoy this idea.

Father's Day Card

Blog Samples 013_small

I thought I would share a fun Father's Day card from my downline, Michelle Miller.  She shared this card at our last group meeting.  Isn't it a great use of the twill tape.  I'm sure her husband or Father will love getting this card.

I'm in Chicago this week for a seminar for work.  I just got back to my hotel and figured I would take a quick minute to post.  I'll try and do my best to post while I'm away.  I have a stamp camp coming up and wanted to post pictures before the sign up deadline but I some how forgot to take pictures before I headed out of town.  Oh well, I know some of you were able to see the projects at club.  We will be making a cute box that will hold 6 cards.  I've designed all of the cards using retiring sets and I think they are pretty cute if I do say so myself.  In addition to the box and cards we will also make a pin that can be worn using stamps and paper.  The cost of the class is $20 and you will receive a $10 catalog credit when you attend.  You can come on Thursday, June 25th at 6:30 pm or Friday, June 26th at 9:00 am.  Please contact me if you want to register by this Friday the 19th.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Just Buzzin' by Card

Blog Samples 009_small

Isn't this card adorable.  This card was made by the talented Chani McMullin in my downline.  I just love this set and love how Chani used it to make this card.

I'm hoping to get a little more stamping time today.  I've got a stamp camp planned at the end of the month and I'm going to focus on retiring sets.  Sometimes, I forget about sets the longer they've been around. It is always fun to pull out sets that are oldies but goodies.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!!!

Big Shot Butterfly Scrapbook Page

Blog Samples 019_small

This is the scrapbook page my scrapping club made last month.  I thought that the negative image from the Swirly diecut was the perfect addition to the opposite page of the scrapbook.  This is a pretty simple spread but I think it is pretty cute.

Supplies Used:

Ink:  Baja Breeze (stamped on the small butterfly if you can't see it in the picture)

Cardstock:  Baja Breeze, So Saffron, & Chocolate Chip

Stamp Set:  Great Friend

Accessories:  Walk in the Park paper, Swirly die & Beautiful Butterflies die

I realized that I never posted the retiring Home Decor items so here is the list.  Plus you get 25% off.

Retiring Home Decor

I'm really excited because I actually got to make a few cards today just because.  They aren't for a class or anything.  I don't know how long it has been since I've felt up to doing that and actually had the time.  Now I'll have to take pictures because I used the Parisian Breeze paper that is retiring.  Boy, I sure do love this paper.  I wish it was going to stay around but I guess I'll have to fall in love with the new in colors.  I'll post pictures soon.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great day!
